Oruvail is a popular medicine that is also widely known under the generic name of Ketoprofen. Oruvail belongs to a wide class of medicines that are called NSAIDS (anti-inflammatory nonsteroidal medicines). This medicine is known for its ability to reduce the harmful hormones that are known to cause pain and inflammation in the organism. Therefore, this drug is regularly used to people who are suffering from arthritis and who are experiencing this medical condition’s symptoms (inflammation, pain). However, some people are using this medicine in order to treat menstrual symptoms (pain). Ketoprofen is used to relieve pain and inflammation in a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including various forms of arthritis, gout, muscle sprains and strains, back pain, neck pain and tendinitis.
Oruvail is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication that is used to relieve the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is also used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as menstrual cramps, headaches, muscle aches, backaches, and dental pain. In addition, ketoprofen is used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu. In addition, Oruvail is also used to treat the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis over the long term, not severe attacks that come on suddenly.
Ketoprofen works by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclo-oxygenase (COX). Cyclo-oxygenase is involved in the production of various chemicals in the body, some of which are known as prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are produced by the body in response to injury and certain diseases and conditions, and cause pain, swelling and inflammation. Ketoprofen blocks the production of these prostaglandins and is therefore effective at reducing inflammation and pain.
Oruvail tablets are controlled release teblets. They are designed to release the ketoprofen slowly and continuously over several hours. This provides prolonged pain relief, so these teblets are taken once a day. It is generally not useful in situations where prompt pain relief is desired. The teblet must be swallowed whole to avoid damaging the controlled release action.
