Wartek dosage and administration for genital warts removal

Wartek (podophyllotoxin) is a skin medication used to remove genital warts. The exact way that podophyllotoxin works is not known. Podophyllotoxin is used to treat genital warts on the outside (external) skin of the penis and vagina.

Dosage and administration for Wartek - Wartec (podophyllotoxin):

The affected area should be thoroughly washed with soap and water, and dried prior to application. Using a fingertip, the cream is applied twice daily for 3 days using only enough cream to just cover each wart.

Residual warts should be treated with further courses of twice daily applications for three days at weekly intervals, if necessary for a total of 4 weeks of treatment.

It is important to use Wartek regularly to get the most benefit. Do not use this medication more often or for longer than is prescribed by your doctor. Excessive use of the medication will not make the medication work better, but may result in increased side effects.
